Axis Mundi translates as an axis between earth and heaven. A wonderful concept in designing a home that could have a link with another world. The design is also based on a number of axis within the constraints of a square plan. Rooms merge into one another and sunlight at different times of the day plays a major role in creating different forms and spaces. The moonlight also seems to cause enchanting transitions.
