Bought in the year 2008, this intimate cottage has two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. It has a spacious verandah facing a small garden. Set in the middle of a village in North Goa, the cottage is surrounded by trees and fields yet close enough to the main road to reach shops and civic needs easily. It has a well and ample electricity, which allows most conveniences to be fitted.

At present it is my main house where I spend the winter months. The garden is being landscaped and offers an option of combining rural living with city comforts. Goa is still less crowded and polluted than most parts of urban India although this is fast changing.
