Left: Mural shows Vishnu with two consorts - the two demons at his feet represent the forces of chaos which even he cannot control while creating the universe.

Right: An outer wall protects the murals on the wall of the garbha-griha. This picture gives a hint of the spaces in Kerala architecture. It is worth noting that this part of the temple is not normally accessible. The picture was taken during renovation work and the idol had been moved temporarily.
