'Sushila' was written as a result of going through my mother's archives. A lifetime of search in art and philosophy was going to be lost to a future generation. It was important to collect the available material along with pictures of paintings that are all over the world.

The book is both a biography and collection of most of her works. It is also a personal assessment of her art and methods of painting.
