Navadarshanam is as the names suggests, a new way to see. Ananthu and Jyoti are among a few individuals who felt they could make a new beginning in the way they conduct their lives. Ananthu has been a Gandhian for many years and was able to set up a small community of like minded people. Situated 50 kms. south of Bangalore, Navadarshanam has achieved complete self sufficiency and a healthier way of life. They have adopted many of the principles of Fukuoka in his experience of the 'one straw revolution'. These include not using pesticides or fertilizer and they depend entirely on natural methods to grow food.
